Effingham - Credit Analyst
The Credit Analyst helps manage credit risk by evaluating customer financial information, assessing creditworthiness, and monitoring account performance. This role supports credit planning and loan management, recommends actions to address potential credit concerns, and assists with collections, repayment arrangements, and other credit-related matters to help protect the companys financial assets.

Salary
$65,000 - $95,000 annually
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all company and personnel policies
- Accountable to uphold the credit policy established by the Board of Directors
- Analyze customer financial statements, collateral positions and credit references to determine customer credit worthiness and repayment capacity
- Advise VP of Credit and Finance concerning approval of new accounts and past due accounts5. Utilize ERP, credit reporting, and financial analysis software to evaluate risk and monitor customer performance
- Flag potential credit issues with current accounts and recommend actions to mitigate risk
- Facilitate credit planning and operational loan management with Equity customers
- Negotiate payment arrangements, collateral protection strategies, and workout agreements for distressed accounts
- Coordinate with legal counsel, management, and outside agencies regarding collections, bankruptcies, liens, judgements, and litigation matters
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics
- BS Degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum five years of experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of agricultural production economics and farm financial statements
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. The nature of the business may require extended hours.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and listen. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
Travel
The employee may be required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area, conferences, educational opportunities, and other job-related activities.
