    Description

    Job Description:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Analyst II to support sound lending decisions and help manage portfolio risk across commercial and consumer relationships. In this role, you will analyze financial information, review loan documentation, enter data into analysis systems, and support the appraisal review process in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Review loan applications and supporting documentation to help ensure complete, accurate packages for credit decisioning.
    • Analyze commercial, real estate, private banking, and consumer financial information to assess credit quality and identify risk.
    • Enter financial statements, tax returns, and application data into loan origination and analysis systems with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Review credit memos for accuracy and recommend updates or changes when needed.
    • Prepare clear, timely, and well-supported credit recommendations with limited supervision.
    • Apply risk rating tools appropriately and identify exceptions related to policy, procedure, or regulatory requirements.
    • Partner with lenders and relationship managers to provide responsive support, insight, and efficient turnaround times.
    • Route loan requests to the appropriate credit officer and help maintain service level expectations.
    • Coordinate appraisal requests, prepare engagement letters, track progress, and review completed appraisals for quality and compliance.
    • Support compliance with all applicable bank policies and federal and state regulations.
    • Report policy issues and recommend corrective action or tracking as needed.
    • Complete required training and maintain a working knowledge of current policies, procedures, and regulatory updates.
     
    Qualifications and Education Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or similar field, preferred.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in banking.
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, Premier and Viewpoint.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    • Must be detail oriented, accurate,  well organized and be able to shift resources and priorities as needed.
    • Demonstrate discretion in all confidential matters.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and manage work independently.
    • Strong understanding of banking compliance expectations or the ability to quickly build knowledge through training and experience.
    • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
    • Able to complete assignments accurately with minimal supervision.
    • Willingness and ability to travel to support different markets as needed.
