This is a hybrid role. This position can be based out of our corporate office in South Portland, ME or our Manchester, NH location

Hourly salary range: $22.00-$26.00- based on experience

Position Summary:

The Credit Collections Analyst administers credit policy, accounts receivable, and collections at the market level to accelerate cash flow while minimizing unmanageable debt exposure.
This role balances customer service with sound credit judgment to support business growth at the moderate level of risk.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews and approve new credit accounts by following established credit policy and procedure and state and federal laws.
  • Reviews, on a daily basis, deliveries exceeding credit terms and accounts which have not adhered to payment commitments.
  • Make collection calls to customers whose accounts are past due.
  • Recalculates budget payments on an annual basis.
  • Confidentially maintains accurate credit records and files.
  • Assists in customer dispute resolution resulting from the collection of outstanding debt.
  • Monitors and collect fuel assistance program funds.
  • Administers’ record keeping procedures and reports associated with gallons delivered, cash received, billing, accounts payable and receivables.
  • Advises customers of state and federal assistance programs as needed. 

Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of previous credit-related experience or three years of general
office experience is required. Previous exposure to the energy business is helpful but not required.

Decisions Made:
This position makes credit decisions and arrangements to ensure business growth at moderate risk. Unusual situations are referred to the Credit Manager or Senior Manager of Credit for resolution or approval.

Contacts:

This position deals frequently with customers, the office staff, department heads, the market manager, and outside vendors. In support of the Credit Manager, may deal with attorneys in collecting on unmanageable debt
