We are seeking a Credit Manager to play a key leadership role in store operations. Alongside the Sales Manager, this position reports directly to the General Manager and helps drive profitable, compliant, and customer-focused store performance. Pay & Benefits Hourly pay: $16.00–$18.00 Paid Time Off Closed on Sundays Employee discounts Health and retirement benefits (vary by location) Paid training and cross-training provided What You’ll Do Manage and grow customer accounts while promoting timely lease and renewal payments Serve as the primary customer liaison for account management and collections Meet or exceed sales, revenue, and portfolio performance goals Ensure company standards for renewals, delinquencies, and collections are met Document all customer commitments and maintain accurate account records Prepare, review, and analyze store and financial reports Assist with managing store personnel and assigning daily tasks and schedules Manage inventory and cash assets Execute monthly marketing initiatives and quality control standards Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Position Details In-person role at the assigned retail location Must be 21 years of age or older Training provided with opportunities for advancement Requirements/Responsibilities Qualifications & Skills Minimum 2 years of experience in Rent-to-Own, retail, or a customer-centric business Experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable preferred Strong collection, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills Solid organizational, planning, and follow-up abilities General accounting and accounts receivable knowledge Ability to learn and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system Professional appearance and strong customer communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in person and over the phone Regular and reliable attendance, including nights and weekends as required Driving & Insurance Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record Ability to meet company insurability requirements Comfortable navigating assigned delivery and service areas Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move 50–300 pounds using a dolly Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and standing Ability to climb stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronics Extended periods of driving and standing Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Additional Information Buddy’s Home Furnishings is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug-Free Workplace Background check, driving history review, and drug screening required Special Instructions Please do not send any emails, resumes, or call.
