Title: Credit Risk Data & Analytics Analyst
Office Status: Hybrid - New York, NY
Base Salary: $65k - $150k + Discretionary bonus
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role sits within the Credit Risk function of an established financial institution, bridging the gap between risk management and technology to drive smarter, faster, and more accurate reporting. The position offers a unique blend of data engineering, automation development, and business intelligence work all in direct support of a high-visibility credit risk portfolio. It's an ideal fit for a technically strong candidate who wants to apply their programming and data skills in a regulated banking environment with real business impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, build, and maintain automated solutions, scripts, and applications to streamline credit risk business processes and reporting workflows
Develop and manage data pipelines and database architectures both relational and non-relational to support risk reporting infrastructure
Build and maintain data visualizations and dashboards (including Qlik Sense and similar BI tools) to support ongoing portfolio intelligence and executive reporting
Produce periodic and ad-hoc portfolio reports across multiple formats including Excel, PowerPoint, and interactive dashboards, covering KRIs, exposure, credit ratings, concentration, and exception management
Integrate data from multiple sources to ensure consistency, accuracy, and repeatability across all credit risk reporting outputs
Collaborate cross-functionally with Credit Officers, Credit Administration, Data Governance, IT, and Business Unit teams to ensure new and emerging data is properly onboarded into credit risk systems
Identify, document, and help remediate data quality issues in coordination with appropriate stakeholders
Support process improvement initiatives including workflow design, documentation, data security controls, and efficiency opportunities
Leverage knowledge of credit risk concepts to identify inconsistencies and anomalies within generated reports
Supply analytical data support covering asset quality, portfolio composition changes, concentration risk, rating migration, and loan provision changes
