We are currently seeking a Branch Member Service Consultant (Teller / New Accounts Rep) for a credit union located in Orange, CA!
Type: Full-time, Direct-hire with benefits!
Pay: $22.00-24.50/hr
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM
Friday: 9:45 AM – 6:15 PM
Saturday: Rotating 8:45 AM – 1:15 PM
Key Responsibilities
Conduct member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan/credit card payments
Open new accounts (Savings, Checking, Money Market, Certificates, IRAs, Trust, and Business accounts)
Consult with members to identify needs and recommend appropriate products and services, including consumer and real estate loans
Assist members over the phone for retention, membership development, pre-approvals, and cross-selling
Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including Reg CC, Bank Secrecy Act, Truth in Savings, Reg D & E, Privacy, and Fair Lending
Maintain accurate logs, complete required forms, and perform all duties in accordance with branch policies
Support branch operations, including balancing cash drawer, monitoring member service areas, and assisting other MSCs as needed
Complete annual federal regulation and BSA compliance training
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a teller in a bank or credit union required!
Experience opening check and savings accounts a plus.
Knowledge of consumer loan products and financial services a plus.
Proficient in computer systems, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to regulatory and branch standards.
