What You'll Do
As a Crepe Operator, you'll play an important role in the production process by operating equipment that transforms tissue paper into crepe paper used in downstream converting operations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Set up and operate crepe machines according to production requirements.
- Load and unload tissue paper rolls safely and efficiently.
- Monitor machine performance and perform routine operational checks.
- Transport finished crepe rolls to converting lines.
- Inspect and maintain roll carts to ensure safe operation.
- Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and operational excellence.
- Identify and address potential safety, quality, or production concerns.
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability are a plus.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience
- Previous machine operating experience is preferred.
- Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or converting experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Comfortable climbing stairs and working on elevated platforms and catwalks.
- Ability to push and maneuver roll carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
