Crew Chief - Public Projects

Position Overview:

The Crew Chief - Public Projects is an integral part of the Survey and Construction departments at Feldman Geospatial, responsible for leading field crews, performing a variety of surveying and layout tasks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. Crew Chiefs collaborate with Project Managers and other team members to execute work efficiently and maintain high-quality standards. Utilizing exceptional technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communicationto make a positive impact on results.

Crew Chiefs operate at three levels based on experience and responsibilities:

• Crew Chief 1: Entry-level leadership role focused on technical fieldwork, developing foundational knowledge, and working under supervision.
• Crew Chief 2: Intermediate-level role requiring independent work, deeper procedural understanding, and a key role in team training and collaboration.
• Crew Chief 3: Expert-level role with minimal oversight, leading complex projects, managing client relationships, and mentoring future Crew Chiefs.
