Job Description
Are you a crew leader who is mechanically inclined and great at inspiring employees to improve their skills? Then, we want you to join our TEAM! The Maintenance and Operations Division of Chesapeake Public Utilities has an opening for Crew Leader.
The Crew Leader position is responsible for crews of 2-6 people, training, skill development and safety compliance.
The Crew Leader position's main activity is the repair and maintenance of Chesapeake's Wastewater collections system infrastructure and completing pipe work with other agencies as directed.

Required Qualifications
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires high school diploma or GED. EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENT: In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of one year of related, full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: Requires a valid driver's license and a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards. This position requires a Class A CDL upon hire and a tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
