Position Summary

As a Crew Member at Jersey Mike's, you'll be an essential part of our team who helps deliver "A Sub Above" experience by providing friendly customer service, preparing delicious sandwiches to order, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store. This role is ideal for energetic, customer-oriented individuals who enjoy teamwork and fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service throughout their visit.

  • Take accurate orders and process payments using the POS system.

  • Prepare and assemble cold and hot subs to customer specifications, following Jersey Mike's quality standards.

  • Handle food safely and follow sanitation and safety guidelines at all times.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations, dining areas, and restrooms.

  • Restock ingredients, supplies, and other operational items as needed.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations, especially during busy periods.

  • Uphold Jersey Mike's standards for restaurant presentation and service excellence.

Qualifications

Required

  • Friendly, customer-service oriented attitude.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven setting.

  • Basic math and cash-handling abilities.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

  • Must be able to follow food safety and hygiene practices.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to slice in store.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in food service or retail is a plus (but not required).

  • Food handler or ServeSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.

  • Strong teamwork ethic and positive attitude.

  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a supportive work culture.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced restaurant environment.

  • Standing for long periods and occasional lifting of up to ~40 lbs.

  • Flexible scheduling may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
