Job Description
- Makes clinical determination of mental status, suicidality, homicidality, or self-neglect of persons who present to the CRF or RC
- Responsible for screening, assessment, and discharge planning for persons receiving services at the CRF or RC
- Conducts individual and/or family sessions as well as leading group therapeutic activities for adults and children receiving inpatient services
- Obtains collateral information from persons who are familiar with the client in order to assess the level of risk
- Refers to licensed provider for involuntary assessment as needed.
- Assists patients with setting up outpatient appointments or with referrals to external community resources
- Assists with completion of emergency screenings for services as needed
- Provides information regarding mental health and substance use diagnosis and treatments
- Provides crisis de-escalation assistance to individuals in inpatient services
- Performs transfer evaluations per Baker Act law as needed
- Completes up-to-date documentation in accordance with the internal and external audit standards.
- Position requires less than 10% travel

Must meet eligibility requirements
- 403b Retirement Plan, with 9% employer contribution for those who meet eligibility requirements.
- Tuition reimbursement, Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible, and Health
- Bachelor's (BA/BS) or Master's (MA/MS) degree in Human Services or a related field required
- Compensation will be commensurate with degree level (Bachelor's or Master's) and aligned with the applicable pay grade
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals in a behavioral health setting required
- Experience working with individuals in crisis and/or with substance use disorders preferred
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct in accordance with agency policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively manage stressful situations while maintaining appropriate professional demeanor and boundaries
- Strong customer service skills with a commitment to positive patient and client interactions
- Proficiency in basic computer use and ability to learn and navigate an electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Must be able to pass Level II background screening and drug test (CBHC is a drug-free workplace)
