    Criminal Defense Attorney (Bilingual – English/Spanish) Louisville, KY Metro Area | On-site | Full-Time | Compensation: Market


    Career Staffing Talent (CST) has been retained by a growing private practice in the Louisville metro area to identify a bilingual Criminal Defense Attorney. The firm focuses on delivering strategic representation to individuals facing criminal charges, with a specific emphasis on serving Kentucky’s Spanish-speaking community.


    Due to an expanding caseload, the firm is seeking a motivated attorney to take on active files immediately. This role offers direct mentorship from experienced litigators and is well-suited for a former prosecutor, public defender, or recent graduate with clinical courtroom experience transitioning into private practice.


    Responsibilities

    • Represent clients in a variety of criminal defense matters, from initial arraignment through trial and resolution.
    • Manage criminal caseloads encompassing misdemeanors, felonies, and traffic-related offenses.
    • Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and develop comprehensive litigation strategies.
    • Appear regularly in state courts and administrative hearings across the Louisville metro area.
    • Communicate case strategies and updates clearly to Spanish-speaking clients and their families.
    • Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and firm leadership to ensure thorough case preparation.


    Qualifications

    • J.D. from an accredited law school.
    • Active license in good standing (or eligible for immediate admission) to practice law in Kentucky.
    • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (professional spoken and written proficiency).
    • Strong oral advocacy and legal writing skills.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience as a State Attorney, Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, Public Defender, or in a criminal defense clinic.
    • Demonstrated commitment to advocating for underserved communities within the justice system.
