Criminal Defense Attorney

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Location: Vienna, Virginia. This is a full-time, in-office position serving clients throughout Northern Virginia.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and have at least 1 year of criminal defense experience.

Job Description

• Represent clients in General District Court and Circuit Court throughout Northern Virginia.
• Manage a criminal defense caseload from initial consultation through resolution.
• Develop defense strategies tailored to each client's circumstances.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and other court filings.
• Negotiate with prosecutors and advocate for favorable client outcomes.
• Prepare witnesses and clients for hearings and trial.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication and responsive service.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to deliver outstanding representation.
• Maintain accurate case files and effectively manage multiple active matters.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years of criminal defense attorney experience.
• Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication and client relationship skills.
• Personal injury or workers' compensation experience is a plus.
• Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
