Position Description
The Criminal Intelligence Analyst 1 - Counterterrorism position shall be directly accountable to the Administrative Services Manager of the section for the proper administration, general management and control of all matters related to the operation of the section and is generally governed by the same duties and responsibilities applicable to any other department employee. Performs advanced technical and professional work involved in recognizing, collecting, and analyzing intelligence and crime data to develop links between complex cases and patterns of crimes in the Investigative Support Division.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) is a 24/7/365 operation. Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Criminal Justice or a related field.
LICENSES REQUIRED
Valid Driver License
Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.

Knowledge of the methods and techniques of research, statistical analysis, and report presentation
Knowledge of Criminal Intelligence Systems Operating Policies including 28 CFR Part 23 regulations
