    Job Summary / Basic Function

    The Department of Criminal Justice, History, and Politics in the College of Education, Arts, and Humanities at Pennsylvania University is seeking qualified applicants to teach at California, Clarion, Edinboro campuses, or online beginning in the Fall 2026 term. The position requests expertise in General Criminal Justice, with the ability to teach a broad range of subjects.

    • Strong command of instructional methods and assessment techniques for criminal justice and criminology education.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and intercultural skills.
    • Ability to engage, motivate, and support a diverse student population.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to program growth.

    Minimum of Education / TrainingRequired Education Summary

    • Master's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or closely related field.
    • Demonstrated experience teaching Criminal Justice at the college or university level.
    • Proficiency in using learning management systems (e.g., D2L, Canvas, or Blackboard) and digital instructional tools.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • A doctoral degree in Criminal Justice or Criminology is preferred.
    • Specialization or expertise in the Criminal Justice System.
    • Experience teaching in face-to-face, online, and multi-modal formats.
