Compensation We Offer  

  • The initial compensation for this position ranges from $35.61 to $43.79 per hour; depending on experience, location, and internal equity considerations.  
  • 8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD. and select Peer Certifications.* 
  • 7.5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions*

Overview:

About our Program: 

 

CSU: Is a 23hr 59min unit for adults 18+ who require Intensive stabilization services. The goal is to divert from 5150 and psychiatric hospital stays.  We are looking for a compassionate and collaborative team members to help launch our new Nevada County CSU to provide strengths-based, culturally respectful, and trauma-informed stabilization support services.

 

Supervises the residential nursing staff to address the health requirements of youth. Manages staffing schedule, training requirements, and supports staff in the delivery health care and assessment of health status. Supervises 24/7 nursing staff in addressing the health requirements of the youth served. Performs general medical and supervise the administration of medication. Applies practical nursing techniques and standard practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and oversees the medical treatment of youth within 24/7 programs
  • Supervises and supports staff with addressing health care concerns, evaluation, and interface with physicians and external providers
  • Schedules staff to ensure 24-hour availability to respond to special needs of youth. This includes On-Call, after hours and weekend coverage
  • Educates staff in unique characteristics of providing for youth's health in a residential mental health care facility and monitor unit budget
  • Administers or assist staff in administering triage.
  • Initiates appropriate health care referrals
  • Participates in admission process, coordinating, scheduling, and overseeing all pediatric medical treatment of youth within residential cottage programs
  • Completes health care assessments and discuss treatment with youth and families.
  • Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to assure youth's health care requirements are met
  • Coordinates, oversees, evaluates, and implement activities and functions associated with ordering, monitoring, and handling medications (Medical Doctor (MD) orders / Vital Signs / Medication monitoring)
  • Negotiates appointments and support for treatment programs
  • Maintains and manages medical and psychiatric records in an organized and timely manner, so as to meet the standards of care, accreditation, licensing requirements and youth care needs
  • Assists and supports staff in interpreting and applying physician orders .; Follows physician orders, monitors patient status and reports to physician
  • Completes all documentation, including incident reports and progress notes
  • Maintains and manages Medical Records / PHI
  • Assists in the implementation of Infection Control Program
  • Performs other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/business needs.
Qualifications:

  • Associate of Arts/Science (A.A./A.S.) degree or Nursing diploma and four (4) years of nursing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of relevant experience equals one year of education) to include:
  • Two (2) years experience in a residential health care environment.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification required.
  • Currently Licensed as Psychiatric Technician, or Vocational Nurse with the Board of California required.
