Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Crisis Management & Operational Resilience Consultant to support several high-priority global resilience initiatives. This role will focus on planning, coordinating, and executing a large-scale global tabletop exercise designed to validate essential business services, incident management processes, crisis response capabilities, emergency notification procedures, and coordination with cyber security incident response teams.
In addition, the consultant will support crisis preparedness efforts related to emerging geopolitical risks, including response planning, scenario analysis, stakeholder engagement, business continuity readiness, and executive communications.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role requiring strong program coordination, facilitation, stakeholder management, and operational resilience expertise. The scope may expand to include crisis management framework enhancements, remediation initiatives, and broader resilience program activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal Scenario Testing & Exercise Management
- Lead planning and coordination of a global operational resilience tabletop exercise.
- Develop realistic, enterprise-wide crisis scenarios.
- Create participant briefings, facilitator guides, inject packs, response templates, and exercise documentation.
- Coordinate planning meetings, workshops, and cross-functional working groups.
- Partner with business, technology, cyber security, supplier risk, and operational resilience teams.
- Identify and coordinate participants, response teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Manage exercise logistics including scheduling, breakout sessions, communications, pre-exercise briefings, and technology readiness.
- Coordinate post-exercise reviews, lessons learned, and executive reporting.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
Crisis Management & Incident Response
- Support operational resilience activities during incidents, geopolitical events, or emerging threats.
- Assist Incident Management Teams (IMT) and Crisis Management Teams during active response efforts.
- Facilitate response meetings and maintain action items and meeting minutes.
- Develop situation reports, executive updates, and decision logs.
- Coordinate stakeholder communications and escalation activities.
- Support emergency notification and mobilization processes.
- Assist with preparedness initiatives and response planning for emerging risks.
Crisis Management Framework Enhancement
- Support improvements to enterprise crisis management frameworks.
- Review and optimize global, regional, and local crisis response structures.
- Improve alignment between business crisis management and cyber incident response processes.
- Assist in developing escalation criteria and severity classifications.
- Enhance communication, notification, and coordination procedures.
- Support documentation updates and implementation planning.
Remediation & Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate corrective actions resulting from exercises, incidents, audits, and regulatory reviews.
- Gather supporting evidence and maintain documentation.
- Track improvement initiatives and stakeholder deliverables.
- Monitor progress against remediation plans and reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications- 5 years of experience in Crisis Management, Incident Management, Business Continuity, or Operational Resilience.
- Experience planning, facilitating, or coordinating enterprise-wide crisis simulations and tabletop exercises.
- Experience supporting major incidents, crisis events, or emergency response activities.
- Strong project/program coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience creating executive-level reports and communications.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience within financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience collaborating with technology and cyber incident response teams.
- Knowledge of operational resilience regulations such as FCA, DORA, MAS, APRA, or similar frameworks.
- Professional certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, DRI, PMP, or equivalent.
