Job Overview – Crisis Services Supervisor
Compensation: $27/hour
Location: Fairfax County, VA
Schedule: Full-Time, Hybrid 

TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Crisis Services Supervisor in Fairfax County, VA for our client, supporting crisis response operations, staff supervision, and behavioral health service delivery within a fast-paced call center environment. This role will oversee frontline support staff while providing coaching, escalation support, quality oversight, and operational leadership across a 24/7 behavioral health program. The ideal candidate will bring prior supervisory experience within behavioral health or crisis services, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for supporting both staff development and community-based mental health services.

Responsibilities as the Crisis Services Supervisor:
  • Staff Leadership: Provide supervision, coaching, onboarding support, performance feedback, and professional development for behavioral health staff.
  • Operational Support: Assist with daily operations, workflow coordination, escalation management, and service coverage within a high-volume support environment.
  • Performance Management: Conduct evaluations, reinforce training initiatives, monitor compliance standards, and support staff engagement and retention efforts.
  • Quality & Compliance: Partner with leadership teams on quality assurance initiatives, operational improvements, policy adherence, and service standards.
  • Team Development: Facilitate case review discussions, group supervision, staff debriefings, and ongoing skills development activities.
  • Direct Service Support: Maintain familiarity with frontline operations through periodic direct engagement with behavioral health support services.

Qualifications for the Crisis Services Supervisor:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of supervisory experience within behavioral health, crisis intervention, mental health services, or related healthcare environments is required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of behavioral health support services, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, risk assessment, and de-escalation techniques is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, virtual communication tools, documentation systems, and behavioral health technology platforms is preferred.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership abilities, communication skills, emotional intelligence, organizational skills, professionalism, resilience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are required.
