Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Fulltime Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), you will join an established, comprehensive Critical Care team with Dignity Health Medical Group Nevada.
In this role, you will deliver comprehensive medical care to critically ill adult patients under physician supervision, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostics, develop and implement treatment plans, administer medications, and monitor patient responses. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, participate in daily rounds and conferences, educate patients and families, maintain accurate records, engage in quality improvement, adhere to policies, and demonstrate proficiency in intubation, central line placement, arterial line management, and thoracentesis.
To be successful in this role, you must have advanced knowledge of critical care medicine, including hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and shock management. Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
