Job Summary:

ICC (Intensive Care Consortium) is seeking an experienced critical care nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join HCA Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Qualified Candidates:

  • Acute care certified NP or experienced PA
  • At least 12 months of ICU experience preferred
  • APP providers must be proficient with and credentialed to perform routine Critical Care procedures including central and arterial line placement, intubations, dialysis catheter access, and management of mechanical ventilation.  
  • Ability to work Full Time, 13 shifts per month
  • 12-hour shifts, Mix of days and nights
  • 30 ICU beds-Medical Surgical ICU with CTS and ECMO program
  • Teaching Facility with GME program
  • Day shift: 1 MD, 1 APP and 1 swing shift APP Night shift: 2 APPs with MD on-call for backup support

  • 220-bed acute care facility with a Level II Trauma Center
  • 24/7 full-service ER
  • 2 freestanding ERs
  • 24/7 dedicated inpatient hospitalist program
  • 24/7 dedicated inpatient intensivist program
  • Implementing psychiatry residency program in summer 2021 with Tufts University Affiliation
  • Internal medicine and family medicine residency programs with Tufts University Affiliation
  • 30-bed inpatient psychiatric unit including 16 involuntary beds
