As Founding Program Director, you won't just step into a pre-existing system-you will architect the entire training environment from the ground up, designing the curriculum, selecting core faculty, establishing the educational culture, and mentoring the next generation of critical care leaders, all while maintaining an active bedside clinical practice.

About the Practice Group

Join a premier, 100% physician-owned group with a stellar 11.5-year history of excellence serving the region. Spanning 5 sites with nearly 40 full-time and part-time physicians and a dedicated team of 8 10 EM APPs, our multidisciplinary team spans Critical Care, Pulmonology, Neurocritical Care, Hospitalist Medicine, and Emergency Medicine. Key Leadership Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and refine the Critical Care Fellowship curriculum and educational competencies.

• Recruit, lead, and mentor high-caliber core GME faculty.

• Lead the ACGME accreditation application and site review processes.

• Establish robust feedback, evaluation, and didactic educational frameworks.

• Architect fellow recruitment, interview, and selection strategies ahead of launch.

• Instill an environment of academic inquiry, scholarship, professionalism, and clinical rigor.

ICU & Clinical Environment

• State-of-the-Art Facilities: 24-bed Main ICU + dedicated 8-bed Neurocritical Care ICU.

• Manageable Census: 12 15 patients per intensivist for optimal patient care and teaching quality.

• Team Coverage: 2 intensivists on day shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM); 1 dedicated night intensivist (7:00 PM 7:00 AM).

• Growth & Innovation: Dedicated neurosurgical and neurointerventional support on site, with active hospital initiatives underway to develop a comprehensive cardiogenic shock program.

Procedural Competencies

Candidates should bring a broad contemporary skill set, including:

• Endotracheal intubation & airway management

• Central line & ultrasound-guided vascular access

• Radial & femoral arterial catheter placement

• Therapeutic bronchoscopy

• Thoracentesis, paracentesis & chest tube placement

• Comprehensive ICU point-of-care ultrasonography (POCUS)

Ideal Qualifications

• Proven GME Leadership: Prior experience as a Program Director or Associate Program Director within an accredited GME fellowship/residency program, OR substantial experience as core faculty with leadership in GME.

Emerging Leaders Welcome: Exceptional candidates with extensive participation in curriculum development, faculty leadership, and academic scholarship will also be considered.
