Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse - $1990 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

• No current employment allowed within this program.

Additional Details:

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. The facility may make one-off exceptions if previously employed at the facility, but exceptions must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System. Block scheduling is attempted but not guaranteed.

Shift & Scheduling: No self-scheduling. Weekend coverage is as needed. Holiday coverage will be provided if needed. No call.

Floating Requirements: The float pool includes ER, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, and NICU across Boise, Meridian, and Nampa; RNs float only within their specialty and never to a lower-acuity unit. Travelers are first to float and may float midshift to different units and facilities whenever needed. Travelers may be assigned to any facility as 1:1 sitters in any area. Hospital and unit assignments are provided through an app one hour before each shift. The hospitals are approximately 20 minutes apart. ICU coverage includes two ICUs in Boise, one in Meridian, and one in Nampa; Nampa generally has lower-acuity ICU patients.

Unit Details: Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit: ER 1:4, ICU 1:1-2, MedSurg 1:5, Tele 1:4, Peds 1:3, and NICU 1:4. RNs in ICU, ER, Tele, MedSurg, and PICU titrate drips. Insulin is a common titratable or set-rate MedSurg drip. RNs in ICU, ER, Tele, and PICU must read and interpret telemetry. Meridian ER is the busiest in the state but has no trauma, while Boise ER receives pediatric trauma.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 3 years
