Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 22 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

• No current employment allowed within this program.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in the specialty within the past 3 years. IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management experience are required. Teaching hospital experience is required.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. All contracts must extend through January 2, 2027. The WMC parking permit costs $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days and provides 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage. The WB parking permit costs $196.20/year and provides weekend and holiday access to the 9th Avenue East/West Garages and 24/7 access to the West Campus WB/WC lots with shuttle service. The CXS parking permit costs $393.96/year and provides weekend and holiday access to the 9th Avenue East/West Garages and 24/7 access to the Buckeye CX and West Campus lots. WB and CXS permits require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits, while the WMC permit is available monthly.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. Patient population includes kidney, liver, lung, and heart transplant patients. Support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and a unit secretary.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Float assignments include Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs (including SICU), Medical ICUs (MICU x2), NCCU, CVICU, and Cardiology/Diagnostics, based on staffing and patient acuity. The Critical Care Float Pool covers ICUs throughout the Ohio State system and may float throughout the organization if there is no need in Critical Care. Nurses are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.

14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 2 years
