Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.
• 6 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required with 6 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Holiday time off must be approved by the manager.
Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read a telemetry strip.
Unit Details: The ICU Float Cluster includes Tower 2, Tower 4, and 4 Neuro. Tower 2 has a 1:2 patient ratio and cares for medical, surgical, and trauma patients. Tower 4 is a cardiothoracic ICU specializing in lung transplants and ECMO, with a 1:2 patient ratio. The 4 Neuro unit is a neuro-specific ICU with a 1:2 patient ratio. Telemetry units have a 1:4 patient ratio. The patient population is complex and high acuity. The unit manages all critical drips. The unit uses all types of respiratory support, including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow. The unit uses telemetry monitors and GE equipment.
Shift & Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts are required per 4 weeks; weekends are Saturday and Sunday. Holidays are required based on unit needs. Shift times may be 7AM-7:30PM or 7PM-7:30PM. The schedule is made 4 weeks in advance and can be changed two weeks in advance based on hospital needs. There is no call; if placed on standby due to low census, the response time is 30 minutes. Travelers may receive assignments via GroupMe 30-60 minutes in advance; if GroupMe is not an option, they must receive and answer a phone call. RNs are expected to be on the unit by 7AM/7PM to hear shift huddle.
Floating Requirements: ICU Float Pool nurses will float among all ICU areas and MedSurg/Tele units, including Westgate in Glendale and AZ General Laveen. Clinicians are not expected to specialize in every area or take the most acute patients in every area, but they are expected to function independently when floated to an outside area. Floating assignments cannot be refused.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
