Critical Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Required Skills:
  • Valid Arizona APRN license and Board Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience
  • Proficiency in performing intubations, central lines, arterial lines, and lumbar punctures
  • Certifications in PALS and BLS
  • DEA certification for medication prescribing
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical care skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with pediatric trauma cases, including neurosurgery
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
  • Additional certifications related to pediatric advanced practices

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
  • At least one year of recent PICU experience in a Level I trauma center setting
  • Prior exposure to pediatric trauma and complex patient care

Other Requirements:
  • Active licensure and DEA registration in Arizona
  • Ability to work night shifts (4x24-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and teamwork
  • Willingness to support staff as needed during coverage dates in July

Hourly Pay Rate: $124.12
