Overview

The Critical Facility Technician assists the Lead Critical Facility Technician to monitor and maintain all building systems and mission critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the raised floor environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Critical Facility Technician with testing and making rounds
  • Ensure strict adherence to critical facility work rule and safety procedures
  • Communicate and adhere to applicable Federal, State, and local rules, codes, and regulations
  • Operate standard office equipment using basic computer skills
  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook for daily communication and reports
  • Perform physical counts of inventory on job sites and at facilities
  • Ensure inventory is stored properly for inventory type (ex: sensitive electronics are temperature controlled)
  • Assist with the daily/weekly/monthly walk-through of customer facilities in support of data center(s) and office operations 
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all building equipment 
  • Assist with scheduling of preventative maintenance, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance with minimal disruption of building services
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations and customer concerns 
  • Ensure Critical Facilities Technician, Contract Manager and/or Customer receive timely verbal and written operating reports regarding critical systems and ongoing preventative maintenance 
  • Escort subcontractors as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license
  • At least 3 years prior experience required as an HVAC technician
  • An active US Government Clearance and Polygraph required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years' experience as HVAC technician in commercial setting is preferred
  • Journeyman HVAC license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed

 

$15,000 Sign-On Bonus for obtaining and maintaining TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Bonus is paid quarterly to support retention and long-term success

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures 
  • Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities 
  • Respond to spills and other emergency situations, performing janitorial and maintenance tasks as necessary 
  • Assist in client, site or customer emergencies as needed

Qualifications

Required:
• Must be 18 years of age or older 
• No experience required and on the job training provided 
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred:
• One (1) year of similar work experience
