Can you turn a noisy maintenance log into a plan that stops failures for good? Are HVACs, chillers, air compressors, process water systems, boilers, and high purity gas delivery equipment your arena? If yes, you might be the reliability leader we’re looking for to safeguard uptime in our optical fiber manufacturing operation.

The challenge

  • Eradicate repeat failures by prioritizing assets with the highest downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Stand up and steward reliability excellence initiatives that lift uptime and equipment effectiveness.
  • Design and execute projects that extend asset life and improve performance across site utilities.
  • Embed reliability into design through the Management of Change process for new or modified equipment.
  • Lead deep-dive investigations, uncover root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Codify robust PM/PdM strategies with Maintenance using vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic methods, and oil analysis.
  • Collaborate daily with Automation, Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to resolve immediate issues and shape long-term improvements.
  • Maximize production equipment effectiveness—protect safety, increase availability/uptime, and prepare the operation for strategic growth.
  • Champion and support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across the facility.

What it takes

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related preferred).
  • 5+ years in manufacturing/engineering/maintenance roles.
  • Lean/Six Sigma background preferred; Kaizen mindset.
  • Fluency in data analysis and statistical techniques.
  • Clear, persuasive communicator and collaborative teammate.
  • Organized, proactive change agent with strong prioritization skills.
  • Consistent application of Lean manufacturing principles.
