Position Requirements

DescriptionCRNA Needed at Central Austin, TX Specialty Hospital. Seeking experienced providers. Cardiac orientation provided upon full-time employment! Heart Hospital of Austin features 6 ORs and 1 EP lab in specialty adult 72 bed facility. Surgeons are exceptionally friendly & caring with great outcomes. There is professional autonomy, including lines, within team model in an award-winning hospital; also, there are close, collaborative working relationships and access to high acuity cases outside academics. No OB, peds, or neuro. In 2022, there were 680 pump cases, 250 TAVRs, 65 mitral clips.• Pre-anesthesia assessment• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition• Performance of clinical intervention as neededRequirements• Schedule: No call, weekends, holidays “Peel” staffing system results in some shorter, some longer days (rare overtime)• Current license as a registered professional nurse• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
