CRNA-Per Diem for 24-Hour Call Coverage-Mercy Medical Center

Position Summary

Mercy Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dependable Per Diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide 24-hour call coverage in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. This role offers flexibility while supporting a high-quality surgical anesthesia program dedicated to exceptional patient care.

Schedule & Call Requirements

• 24-hour call shifts from 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Minimum 8 hours required in-house coverage
• Remaining on-call hours taken off-site
• Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes while on call
• Flexible per diem scheduling based on departmental needs

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for surgical cases only
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and post-anesthesia evaluations
• Respond promptly to emergency and after-hours surgical anesthesia needs
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and perioperative teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Deliver safe, evidence-based anesthesia care in compliance with hospital standards

Qualifications

• Current certification as a CRNA
• Active California RN and APRN licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
• Prior hospital-based surgical anesthesia experience preferred
