CRNA-Per Diem OB-24-Hour In-House Coverage-Mercy Medical Center

Position Summary

Mercy Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dependable OB Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide 24-hour in-house obstetric anesthesia coverage in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. This role supports a dedicated Labor & Delivery team committed to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality maternal care.

Schedule & Coverage Requirements

• 24-hour in-house coverage shifts from 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• CRNA must remain in-house for the duration of the shift
• Flexible per diem scheduling based on departmental needs

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for obstetric cases including labor analgesia and cesarean deliveries
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and post-anesthesia evaluations
• Respond promptly to urgent and emergent OB anesthesia needs
• Collaborate closely with OB physicians, nursing staff, and perioperative teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Deliver safe, evidence-based anesthesia care in compliance with hospital standards

Qualifications

• Current certification as a CRNA
• Active California RN and APRN licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
• Prior OB anesthesia experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in high-acuity settings
