Cross-Border Account ManagerSalary Range: $45,000.00 To $45,000.00 AnnuallyOpportunitySteam Logistics is seeking an Account Coordinator with a specific focus on Mexico cross-border shipments. This position is responsible for handling daily operations and communication with our customers, US Brokers, Mexican Brokers, and carrier partners in Mexico & the U.S. This Account Coordinator will need to have general knowledge on how the cross-border world works between the U.S. and Mexico, its particularities, and challenges in order to successfully support Steam Logistics customer-centric solutions.ResponsibilitiesArrange cross-border transportation shipments between the U.S. and Mexico border.Assign, dispatch, monitor and update shipments, utilizing provided company tools.Plan and coordinate the daily schedule of loads.Communicate daily with Steam's carrier base to establish coverage on freight entering and departing Mexico.Has daily contact with carriers to determine availability while negotiating transportation rates.Maintains and grows relationships with carrier accounts.Makes calls to current and potential customers to promote business growth and development.Manage customs paperwork with both US and MX BrokersTracks shipment from pickup through delivery (provide up-to-date information to customers as needed).Required Experience & EducationUnderstands cross-border market trends and Mexico regulations.2 years of experience in cross-border freight operations between US and Mexico.Experience preferred in dealing with carriers and customs processes in these border crossing markets:Laredo/Nuevo Laredo-ColombiaSan Diego/Tijuana-MexicaliNogalesEl Paso/Ciudad JuarezMcAllen-Brownsville-Pharr/ReynosaExperience with Cargowise preferred.Proficiency in Excel preferred.Bachelor's Degree preferred.Qualifications & SkillsBilingual: Must be fluent in Spanish & English (reading, writing and verbal)Ability to work in an office setting, multi-task, and work with a team.Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skillsAbility to make decisions under pressure.What We OfferBase Salary starting at $45,000 with monthly incentive.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, plus ancillary benefits.Health Savings Accounts, Dependent Care FSA, and FSA options designed to suit your needs.Access to an Employee Assistance Program with up to three counseling sessions included for you or your family members.401k match to help secure your financial future.Embrace a healthy work-life balance with generous paid time off.Steam Logistics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
