Cross Categorical Teacher

The Walworth County Children With Disabilities Education Board is seeking a Cross Categorical Teacher at Lakeland School. This position is responsible for providing diagnostic, consultative, prescriptive and instructional services to children with special educational needs. The ID teacher is also involved, to a significant degree, with the use of augmentative communication devices, assistive technology, adaptive equipment and visual supports to enhance student independence, participation and engagement. The goal of the ID Teacher is to enable children to develop their skills in order to positively impact a student''s educational progress, independence, self-advocacy and post-secondary experiences. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree preferably in Special Education, and must be eligible for a Wisconsin Teaching License #1801 or #2801 Cross Categorical Special Education.
