Crossing Guard, Danvers Public Schools

Danvers Public Schools is looking to hire crossing guards for the upcoming school year. School Crossing Guards are part-time personnel (approximately 10) hours/week employed by the Danvers Public Schools The Crossing Guard plays a critical role in the safety and security of child pedestrians. All applicants shall submit to a CORI check and fingerprints as a condition of employment General Responsibilities All Crossing Guards should report to their corners at least 10 minutes before you''re AM and PM hours and be standing at your assigned corner NO MATTER what the weather is. If you are sick or have an emergency situation, you are required to let Officer Ryan Greene know with at least 1 hour notice. Applicants must be able to perform the physical demands of the job which consist of walking and standing up for periods of an hour, in a variety of weather conditions. When stopping traffic to allow children to cross, ensure that it can be accomplished in a safe and orderly manner before signaling with the stop sign. Be familiar with Danvers Public School calendars for when children will be dismissed early. During your shift (AM & PM) smoking and cell phone use are prohibited.
