POSTING of VACANCY Crossing Guard Morse Pond School 2026-2027 School Year

Hours: 5 hours per week (mornings and afternoons) Duration: 10 months per year

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to relate well to children.
  • Good physical health.
  • Knowledge of motor vehicle rules and regulations.
  • Familiar with safe walking and pedestrian procedures.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.

Reports to: Principal / Assistant Principal

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report directly to assigned crossing station punctually and remain there until the conclusion of assignment.
  • Ensure that children use proper crossing location and that no children are in the street while traffic is moving.
  • Be alert for present or potential traffic hazards in the area surrounding the assigned crossing.
  • Submit to the Director of Finance and Operations a written report of any such hazard with a recommendation for remedial steps to be taken.
  • Report for duty in furnished safety vest.
  • Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.

WORK SCHEDULE Work schedule will coincide with the school schedule for the school year, rain or shine.

SALARY In accordance with the Non-Union Personnel Guidelines & Benefits.
