One Part-Time, 2.5 hours per day position at Liberty Elementary School. Responsible for directing traffic in conjunction with movement of children to and from school at specified locations.
Job duties include:
- Controls the movement of automobiles and trucks at school crossings
- Places school sentinel signs in the roadway at designated points near crossing and removes them before going off duty
- Directs vehicular traffic at designated crossing to allow children to cross safely
- Controls children using the crossing to assure that they conform to traffic regulations
- Reports children who fail to cooperate to the school principal
- Completes reports for the school principal as needed
- Instructs children in elements of traffic safety
Job skills:
- Knowledge of traffic regulations
- Knowledge of safety procedures
- Ability to work in inclement weather throughout the year
- Ability and skill in working with children
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction
- Ability to show courtesy and tact
- Ability to use technology to complete daily and assigned tasks appropriate for the position

- Salary Range $19.40/hr to $24.36/hr
