Crude Oil Transport Professional

Our Crude Oil Drivers manage the transportation and delivery of crude oil between key locations. This is a safety-sensitive role that requires precision, efficiency, and strict adherence to company protocols.

Versatility is key. All drivers receive cross-training to transport water and will be expected to support water-hauling operations as required.

Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Maintain strict compliance with OSHA regulations and all jade owls safety policies at all times.
  • Quality Control: Perform crude oil testing and purchasing in accordance with applicable A.P.I. standards.
  • Technical Transport: Safely load, haul, and unload crude oil tankers while complying with all state, federal, and company regulations.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete and submit all required digital and physical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily equipment inspections, monitor fluid levels, and perform minor maintenance such as replacing gaskets, hoses, and nozzles to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, including at least 1 year of tanker experience. Oilfield and lease-road experience preferred.
  • No more than 3 moving violations within the past 5 years (no more than 1 in the last 12 months); no DUI or DWI convictions.
  • Ability to successfully complete a road test operating an 18-speed transmission.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., climb stairs and ladders frequently, and chain tires in adverse weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
  • Always required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Work Environment

  • Operation around heavy equipment, crude oil production facilities, and moving vehicles.
  • Physically demanding tasks performed in varying terrain, including remote lease roads.
  • Exposure to all weather conditions including rain, snow, mud, and hazardous driving conditions
  • Exposure to hazardous facilities, moving equipment, hydrocarbons, and potential H2S environments
