ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a seasonal position you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year round. This position is responsible for safely supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in aggregate production, as well as running operations and ensuring that quality aggregates are produced at maximum production levels with assigned crushers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform daily equipment inspections, walk-arounds, and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained and repaired. • Communicate effectively, verbally, listening, written, and work with difficult people under high-stress situations. Self-motivated team-player with good interpersonal skills, ability to maintain positive customer relations, and act courteous and respectful of others. • Troubleshoot and problem-solve situations, problems, material quality, equipment operation, repair, etc. • Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors. • Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, Lockout/Tagout safety and environmental regulation compliance. • Coordinate and supervise the moving of crusher, screen plants, and wash plants. • Coordinate changing of crusher, cone liners, jaws, dies, and screens as needed. • Operate and troubleshoot crusher, screen plant, and wash plant as needed. • Monitor material quality and inspect and troubleshoot material - check gradation quality, oversize rocks, and contamination, etc. • Coach and monitor team members and sites to comply with MSHA and safety regulations and assist in training of new employees. • To insure quality assurance, coordinate and/or deliver aggregate samples to lab. • Record pertinent information accurately and relay production quality, equipment, and personnel information to Aggregate Manager or other appropriate team members. • Approve and submit work hours of personnel and pertinent job information daily. • Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Preferred requirements, i.e., certifications, software use, etc.
As a successful Foreman, you will have:
• Over 2 years up to and including 4 years from post-high school work, military, institutional, or vocational environment. • Minimum 3 years of experience in aggregate production. • Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card, and acceptable driving record.
COMPENSATION
Estimated Wage: $35.00 - $40.00 depending on experience.
