Overview
Travels to UFJPI and UFHealth on and off campus clinic locations to provide coverage for Medical Assistant vacancies. Provides excellent customer service and greets patients entering the department/practice. A multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements
1 year - medical assistant - preferred years -Two to four years clerical customer service experience - ideally in a health care related industry - preferred 2 1 year - One-year experience with third party payors and computer experience for in putting data and reviewing patient demographic material
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent - required
Certifications/Licensure
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required - or at time of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS)- required - at time of hire
Medical Terminology Certificate - preferred- within 30 days
Drivers License
Florida - required - at time of hire
Travel
80% - 100% travel
Additional Details
This position requires 80% -100% travel to various UFJPI clinical locations. Current Florida Drivers License and proof of auto insurance required at time of hire
