    Description:

    Position Summary:

    CT Imaging Assistant in the Radiology Department at St Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA

    Fulltime Monday-Thursday 1pm to 11pm

    What you will do:

    Under the direction of the technical supervisor/team leader, the imaging assistant is responsible for direct patient care activities and clerical duties as assigned by CT

    These functions include

    • directing patient flow through the department,
    • greeting and escorting/transporting patients within the imaging department and back to the patient room or Emergency Department.
    • Must be able to anticipate, initiate, and respond to the departmental and customer needs, work independently and maintain productivity and workflow.
    • Other duties include, but are not limited to, stocking the exam rooms and supply rooms,
    • preparing the room for the next patients arrival.GA

    What you will need:

    • Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required
    • Experience: No previous healthcare experience is required, but a knowledge of the healthcare setting, specifically imaging, is preferred.
    • Special Qualifications: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
