POSITION TITLE: CT Technologist/Radiology Technologist

SHIFT: Days (7 AM - 7 PM)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PRN

FACILITY TYPE: 16-bed Small-Format Hospital (8 ER, 8 Inpatient)

Position Overview

The primary objective of this role is to conduct a range of imaging procedures, such as CT scans and X-rays, at a technical level that does not require constant oversight.

Essential Job Functions
  • Deliver technical support and patient care to assist physicians, nurses, and other staff in addressing the needs of patients throughout the facility.
  • Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment, including X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
  • Conduct imaging exams in compliance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, ensuring the physician on duty is informed of the results.
  • Execute basic clinical procedures under the guidance of the physician and/or nurse on duty.
  • Keep all necessary documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform lab tests according to established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of reagents and consumables for quality testing.
  • Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks on all imaging equipment following established protocols.
  • Conduct Quality Control as mandated by the laboratory.
  • Participate in Proficiency Testing and/or Split Sample analysis as required by the facility.
  • Maintain records of all analytical activities for a minimum of two years.
  • Carry out all Quality Assessment activities assigned to this role and document these for periodic review by the Laboratory Supervisor and/or Laboratory Director.
Additional Job Functions
  • Assist as an ER Technician when necessary.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of reagents and consumables for quality testing.
  • Perform routine maintenance and function checks on all imaging equipment as per established protocols.
  • Travel to various facility locations as required.
  • Attend staff meetings or other company-sponsored meetings as necessary.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program is required.
  • Associate’s degree in Radiology is preferred.
  • Certification as a medical radiologic technologist as mandated by the state of practice is required.
  • Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography is required.
  • Registered Technologist with the ARRT in computed tomography is preferred, with specific exceptions:
    • CT certification is required for the Las Vegas Market.
    • CT certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire for the Pennsylvania market.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in radiologic/imaging is preferred.
  • 1+ years of CT experience is preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in an emergency room setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with most X-ray/CT equipment, manufacturer’s hardware/software, and PACS is essential.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
