Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CT Scan Technologist for a travel assignment in a high-acuity imaging environment. The ideal candidate will have strong trauma and stroke center experience, advanced patient care skills, and the ability to perform complex CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex CT imaging procedures and related diagnostic techniques
  • Review patient clinical history and verify exam appropriateness
  • Prepare and administer contrast media according to physician orders and CT protocols
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions during imaging procedures
  • Perform venipuncture, IV insertion, and IV maintenance procedures
  • Utilize PACS, EPIC, and radiology systems for documentation and imaging review
  • Coordinate with radiologists and referring physicians regarding exam clarification and protocols
  • Prepare patients for scanning, including shielding and positioning
  • Ensure imaging quality and diagnostic value of completed studies
  • Provide patient education and procedure explanations appropriate to patient needs
  • Support patient care across trauma and stroke imaging cases

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Active NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required
  • ARRT Certified R.T.(R) required
  • BLS Certification (AHA) required
  • ARRT R.T.(CT) certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time CT Technologist experience required
  • Trauma Level I and Stroke Center experience required
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • CT anatomy and positioning
    • PACS systems
    • CT software and hardware
  • EPIC and HIS/RIS system experience preferred
