Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid certification as a CT Technologist (e.g., ARRT(R)(CT)).
  • Experience: Previous experience in diagnostic radiology or nuclear medicine is preferred. Knowledge of urgent care protocols is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent technical skills in operating CT equipment, producing high-quality diagnostic images, and proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CT scanning equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Position patients correctly and administer contrast media as required by the scan protocol.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and maintain strict radiation safety standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to ensure image quality meets diagnostic needs.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs within the EMR system.
  • Perform routine quality control checks on equipment.
