Position Title: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography Technologist)

Department: Radiology / Diagnostic Imaging

Shift: Saturday, Sunday, Monday | 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (Non-Negotiable)
 

Position Summary:
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions. The technologist ensures patient safety, maintains imaging quality standards, and follows departmental protocols while providing compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and established departmental protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and monitor patients during CT examinations.
  • Administer contrast media as required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Operate CT scanners and associated imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Review images for quality, completeness, and diagnostic value before submission.
  • Document patient information and imaging procedures accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and infection control protocols.
  • Assist radiologists with interventional CT procedures, biopsies, and drainage procedures when necessary.
  • Monitor patient vital signs using pulse oximeters and other monitoring equipment.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of imaging equipment and report any issues promptly.

  • Epic EMR
  • McKesson
  • PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
  • HIS/RIS
  • CT Imaging Software
  • Optical Disk Systems

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient positioning.
  • Exposure to moving and rotating imaging machinery.
  • Fast-paced hospital imaging environment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT (R) certification required.
  • ARRT (CT) certification preferred/required per facility guidelines.
  • Active state licensure (if applicable).
  • BLS Certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required.
  • Experience with Canon CT scanners preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, contrast administration, and radiation safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
