CT Technologist Full-Time Opportunity

Position Overview
The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT examinations while maintaining exceptional standards for image quality, radiation safety, and patient care. This position works closely with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of CT scans and diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
- Properly position patients and select appropriate imaging techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Operate CT scanners, radiologic equipment, and related imaging technology safely and effectively
- Prepare and administer contrast media when appropriate and within established guidelines
- Review patient medical history, physician orders, and relevant clinical information before examinations
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance throughout the examination
- Monitor patients for safety and potential reactions before, during, and after procedures
- Evaluate completed images for technical quality, positioning, and diagnostic value
- Maintain accurate documentation within patient and imaging records
- Follow established radiation protection practices, including ALARA principles
- Maintain appropriate infection prevention and patient safety standards
- Assist with equipment quality control and report potential equipment issues
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and other clinical departments to coordinate patient care
Education & Certification Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
- ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification preferred or required based on facility guidelines
- Current or eligible Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification/licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Previous CT Technologist experience preferred
- Hospital or acute-care imaging experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of CT protocols, anatomy, patient positioning, contrast administration, and radiation safety
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative imaging department
