CT / Radiologic Technologist (CT Tech / Rad Tech)

Location: Geneva NY
Shift: Full-Time, 3x12s (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Holiday Rotation: Required
Employment Type: Contract/Travel

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CT/Radiologic Technologist to join a dynamic imaging team. The ideal candidate will have strong CT and X-Ray experience, proficiency with Siemens equipment, and the ability to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures for patients across all age groups, including infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT and Radiologic (X-Ray) examinations according to physician orders and department protocols.
  • Operate CT scanners, radiographic equipment, image processors, and related imaging systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure proper patient positioning for optimal diagnostic results.
  • Perform CT studies with and without IV contrast, including imaging of the brain, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, spine, facial structures, and extremities.
  • Operate portable radiographic equipment as needed.
  • Follow NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize RIS and PACS systems for patient registration, exam documentation, image management, and charge entry.
  • Educate and communicate with patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation during procedures.
  • Maintain competency in multiple imaging modalities.
  • Adhere to infection control standards and Universal Precautions.
  • Ensure radiation safety through proper shielding, collimation, and imaging techniques.
  • Participate in emergency call coverage, weekends, holidays, and additional shifts as required.
  • Perform quality control procedures on imaging equipment.

Requirements

  • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Current ARRT Certification.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience.
  • Strong Radiologic Technology/X-Ray experience required.
  • OR C-Arm experience required.
  • Siemens CT equipment experience preferred.
  • Experience with RIS and PACS systems.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens is anticipated.
  • Duties may involve contact with blood, body fluids, tissues, and other potentially infectious materials.
