Job Summary
The CT Technologist performs a variety of CT examinations using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. The technologist uses independent judgment and technical expertise to produce high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and providing appropriate patient care.
Key Duties
Perform CT examinations according to department protocols and physician orders.
Maintain ARRT competency in required clinical and technical functions.
Operate CT equipment and related imaging information systems.
Verify patient identification and exam orders and prepare patients appropriately.
Review images for quality, clarity, accuracy, and adequate anatomical coverage.
Follow radiation safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Complete examinations within established timeframes without compromising patient care or image quality.
Educate patients regarding procedures, provide comfort, and address concerns.
Requirements
1–2 years of CT experience required
ARRT(CT) – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
