Position Title: CT Tech Location: FSED Alafaya, 1434 North Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32828 Available Shifts: Weekends Only About Hospital: This is a 64-bed acute care hospital serving east Seminole County and surrounding communities. We offer a full range of healthcare services, including surgical inpatient units, intensive care, 24/7 emergency care, medical cardiology, telemetry, inpatient and outpatient surgery, women’s services (including labor and delivery), comprehensive diagnostic imaging, cardiopulmonary services, and cardiac catheterization. Job Summary and Responsibilities: CT Tech performs a variety of technical procedures using computerized ionizing radiation to detect pathology. Responsibilities include: Operating CT equipment safely while maintaining A.L.A.R.A. (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards. Performing X-rays in the ER and department as needed, with proficiency in radiologic (X-ray) positioning. Participating in the establishment of scan protocols and executing specific applications. Administering contrast when necessary. Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with staff, other departments, and medical personnel. Being available for on-call duties as required. Qualifications: Minimum of one year of CT experience required (acute care experience is not necessary). Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) required; (CT) certification preferred. State Registered Radiologic Technologist. Vocational School Graduate. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment).
