Assists in interventional CT procedures, including biopsies and drain placements, by preparing sterile fields, assisting radiologists, and ensuring patient comfort throughout the procedure.

Responds to emergency situations, including adverse reactions to contrast media, changes in patient condition, or critical imaging requests. Follows hospital protocols and collaborates with medical staff to ensure patient safety.

Adherence to Radiation Protection Standards

Adheres to radiation protection standards by applying ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients, self, and others. Uses shielding and proper scanning techniques to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Performs quality control checks on CT equipment, verifying calibration, accuracy, and functionality before procedures. Troubleshoots minor technical issues and reports any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.

Quality Assurance and Patient Care

Reviews and verifies imaging orders, documentation, and patient history to ensure the correct procedures are performed. Accurately records information in the radiology information system (RIS) and electronic medical record (EMR).
