American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Basic Life Support (BLS), Cell Biology, Cerebral Vascular Accident, Emergency Care, Epic Systems, Hospital, Intensive Care, Intravenous Therapies, Outpatient Care, Phlebotomy, Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
Duties
- Abdomen and Pelvis scans with or without contrast
- Emergency Department imaging
- ICU Special Procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, and more
- Spine and Musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, lumbar, and thoracic
- Head and Neck imaging with or without contrast
- Preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Starting Peripheral IVs and performing venipuncture
- Handling code stroke situations
CT Techs work 8-hour days with a 30-minute lunch and are required to float to outpatient and hospital settings as needed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
Skills
- Proficiency in using PACS, Siemens*, and Toshiba* equipment
- Ability to perform multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
- Strong professional knowledge and skills in the preparation and administration of contrast media
- Ability to start Peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
- Experience in a community hospital setting is preferred
- Certifications required: ARRT R, BLS, and Venipuncture Cert
- Experience with the Epic charting system
- Open to first-time travelers
