Job Description

The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards as established by radiologist governing and professional bodies. Essential Functions: Produce emergent and routine diagnostic images with fixed and portable X-ray. Produce routine and emergent diagnostic images with CT Room. Able to adjust exposure settings for proper image acquisition. Adjust patient positioning in order to acquire the best images based on anatomical structures. Adjust table and radiation beam to minimize radiation exposure to maximum patient protection (ALARA). Process images in PACS for the Radiologist. Complete exams per Radiologist protocols. Document, charge, and process with electronic medical records. Schedule patients for appointments in X-ray, CT, MRI, US, DXA, and Holter Monitor. Inform and assist patients with contrast media administration for CT exams. Involved with quality control concerning equipment, radiation safety, and patient safety. Ensure that exams are completed in timely and correct manner. Provide Customer Service to patients, and staff. Minimum Qualifications: Required Credential: R.T.(R)(ARRT) Preferred Experience: 1 year experience working as a CT technologist. Technical Skills: Demonstrates skills and behaviors indicative of an adequate working knowledge of and clinical proficiency in radiographic procedures, principles of radiation physics, and human anatomy and physiology. Rotation of call and weekends

Shift: 4-10 hours per day M-F; 40 hours per week with rotation of weekends and call.
